White Maeng Da is among the Kratoms with the most psychoactive alkaloids. These are substances that, like caffeine in coffee, for example, have mild physical and mental effects. Users report that our white Maeng Da gives calmness and energy. The latter even more than an energy drink.
Maeng Da's secret lies in its harvesting. Farmers pick the leaves when they are just beginning to ripen. They are then dried in the dark for a long time. As a result, the Maeng Da strain retains the most alkaloids. Varying temperature and humidity during drying, among other things, gives it its white colour.
White Maeng Da is best used as a tea. When doing so, start with a low dose and increase it based on your own experience. Keep in mind that according to most users, the energising effect is only noticeable after about 15 minutes. This depends on age, physical health, gender and so on. The effect lasts for quite some time.
Due to the amount of alkaloids present, Kratom is not recommended for adolescents and pregnant women. For other users, depending on physical condition, white kratom can be used without any problems. To avoid dependence, disciplined consumption is recommended.
Use: Prepare a cup of tea of this herbal preparation by dissolving 4 to 5 grams in boiled water 70 - 95 degrees. Recommended time to steep is between 3 to 5 minutes. The tea does not need to be filtered, all can be consumed.
Sale and use prohibited under 18 years of age. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use in case of high or low blood pressure, heart and/or lung problems, diabetes, pregnancy, when taking medicines, drugs or alcohol.
Recommended dosage: 4 to 5 grams
Besides your own body weight and sensitivity, the dosage also depends a lot on the strength of the kratom. Normally, 5-10 grams of dried leaves should be sufficient for inexperienced users. The dosage can be slightly lower with kratom powder, which is usually stronger than regular leaves (3-5 grams). The same applies to extract. Kratom is not addictive if used responsibly and not more often than once or twice a month. More experienced users will feel the need to increase the dosage after some time.
Kratom in higher doses tends strongly towards sedative effects, regardless of which strain is used.
Mild Effect: <3 grams
Moderate/Good Effect: >3-5
Strong Effect: >5-6 grams
Kratom has a strong effect on your mood and energy. It reduces anxiety, while the feeling is circumscribed as happy, strong and active, with a calm mind and a strong will to work. Thai workers use it to get through the working day. The effects are felt after 5 to 10 minutes and can last for several hours.
Most people call the effects stimulating and euphoric at low doses and sedative at higher doses. This can probably be explained by the fact that mitragynine stimulates the delta-opiate receptors at small doses, but increasingly stimulates the mu-opiate receptors as the dose increases.
Although the main alkaloids in kratom are related to psychedelic substances, kratom does not seem to have psychedelic effects. Its main effects are similar to those of opiates: analgesic and cough suppressant, as well as narcotic and euphoric. These effects are roughly comparable in strength to codeine.
Some sources claim that kratom, like other opiates, induces sexual desire in women and can reduce erectile dysfunction in men. The positive effect of mitragynine on mood are probably responsible for this. Other effects of mitragynine include reduced muscle tension, local anaesthesia and depression of the central nervous system.
Direct adverse effects may include dry mouth, increased urination, decreased appetite and constipation. Unlike opiates, mitragynine does not usually cause nausea or vomiting. Intensive use may result in a mild form of drowsiness.
