Ololiuqui, unlike LSD (or mushrooms), does not give you direct hallucinations. A nice touch if you belong to the smartdrug users who prefer not to completely let go of contact with reality. Morning glory-the plant species to which Ololiuqui belongs-just takes you to another level or state. How long can you enjoy your trip afterwards? According to most users, they are in that particular state for six to as much as 10 hours. So lucky ones can enjoy up to half a day. For the strongest effects, Ololiuqui is best used on an empty stomach. The traditional dosage is 14 to 22 seeds. Higher doses only lead to vomiting and other unwanted side effects.
To minimise nausea, germinate the seeds by keeping them moist for 3 to 4 days (do change the water regularly). After that, discard the outer husks and eat only the inner white material.
Ololiuqui only works if you know how to use and dose it properly. To avoid coming home from a cold shower, follow the procedure carefully. If you fail to do so, the effect of these seeds will be anything but 'divine'. Following the traditional method, you first grind the seeds, then soften them in half a cup of water and drink the liquid and eat the seeds. You use 14 to 22 at a time.
